Hi,
Well I currently bought a WD Caviar 200GB 7200 RPM HD and tried to put it in my ADS External Combo case that use to house a sony 52xCD-RW, and well it only reads the drive @ 120GB and actually can not write to the drive. Well i suppose its due to a limitation of the enclosure and am looking at different enclosures to get that will satisfy my needs.
I have a lot of "videos" with my girl friend. (no i can't share them...well until we break up) that are roughly 20 GB each which i would like to transfer to her computer.
I have a lot of music + movie files too.
I am looking for a firewire/USB2 enclosure
aluminum construction
fan, a big quiet fan
speed is an issue
Currently i am looking at the Thermaltake Silver River External Enclosure, but can't find a review that lists its speed difference. Theres a lot of options out there and i would just like a couple of opinions on it since well the ADS drive was a spontaneous purchase and it turned out to be a POS.
