question regarding Dell's 845GV mobo

So, I bought a cheap-ass Dell that comes with a 2.2ghz P4 (400fsb) chip. Dell includes 333mhz ram in the box (which is 166x2 = 333, right?) but then only runs the memory at 266fsb. So... why doesn't Dell ship the computer with pc2100 ram (which is 133x2, right?) to save money? And if they ship the box with 333mhz ram, why the hell don't they run the mobo at 333mhz fsb?

The mobo specs say that the 845GV is compatable with 533fsb P4s also, but since it only takes the following RAM: DDR333/266/200, the most FSB you could run that 533-capable P4 at, would be 333fsb, right?

I used to know all this crap but have since forgotten it all (obviously)... much thanks for any help.
