question regarding Dell Inspiron laptop deal

Do you guys think it's a good idea to pay for the extended warranty and accidental care? I've had my inspiron 8200 for over 2 years now and I have spilled some tea on it before and an AC adapter went out (had to get a new one). Is it worth the extra money?

I'd say it's a good deal if you are planning for a long term ownership.

I got a Inspiron 4150 with the complete care 3 year awhile back

it still has over a year in warranty left, and i gave it to my uncle.
During his ownership, Motherboard replaced free, battery replaced free, ac adapter showing trouble right now which is gonna get replaced free, and also I had the screen replaced 🙂

the battery is only under warranty for a year right? What do yo tell them to replace the battery? It's not holding a charge?

I got a 2 year warranty extension on the Inspiron 600M I bought about 6 months ago. My reason for buying it was that unlike on desktops, hardware failures on laptops generally have to be repaired by the manufacturer and are therefore pricey. An extra $150 for some peace of mind was well worth it IMO.

IMO extended warranty is a rip off, make sure u use a cc that gives u 1 year extended warranty automatically

Your the kind of people I see come back into our store after not buying warranty wanting to either return it or have it repaired. I just laugh when I see their faces when we charge money up front just to look at it. Yeah your cc will give you an extra year, but if you drop or cause damage to the machine.... you got yourself a very expensive paper weight.

Wow...that laptop was a piece of crap....

For the battery, I'd complain that it used to run for almost 1.5 hours and now barely handles 30 minutes.

As for this thread, it was moved here out of hot deals by a moderator, so stop complaining.

We have that on all our laptops at work. Some guy dropped hisin a lake because he took it fishing and they sent a replacement no questions asked.
