I've recently built a machine that has a CUSL-2-C motherboard. The power/reset LED works perfectly, however the HDD LED does not. I've scanned over the manual numerous times, but it doesn't mention anything SPECIFICALLY about a "HDD LED" even existing on the board, so the closest things are a "IDE LED" and a "MESSAGE LED". I've tried connecting to both, and at best, the HDD LED stays on constantly through the IDE LED.

Anyone know where this is supposed to be plugged in? I have the same problems with a friends TUSL-2-C. Another friend said he had the same problem with his CUSL-2-C. Either there is a problem or we're missing whats wrong here big time.. agh.
PS - I've tried connecting wires both ways.. same problem..
help :)

The HDD activity LED is a pair of pins sitting all by itself, some distance from the rest of the panel headers. It sits almost next to the COM2 connector.

If it is not working in one direction, turn the plug around and try it in the other direction.

Yes, it is called the IDE LED. It might seem to stay on all the time at first, but let the system do a complete cycle....ie POST, boot to Windows, and then shutdown and see if the LED blinks or not.
