Question regarding core clocks on R9 cards

As an update, I managed to get a black screen issue when I upped the memory frequency to 1440 mhz on stock voltage (zero VDDC offset). While I was browsing in chrome I got a random black screen and had to restart. Haven't had it since lowering the memory clock back down to 1400.

should make sure you are using up-to-date Oc software and probably better off with one specific to your card manufacturer. MSI afterburner on other cards should be for OSD with rivatuner.

I'm using the 15.7 driver and the latest version of Trixx. I haven't had any black screens since backing down the memory to 1400 mhz. I also didn't have any black screens when I upped the VDDC.

I went ahead and RMA'd mine. It started exhibiting other issues and I got tired of dealing with it. If it is simply a driver issue, I probably will sell it and get something else. The card isn't "new" and shouldn't be having these issues. I guess I got used to rock solid performance on my last card.
