I went to turn in my housing application to USC today and to my surprise they were out of rooms since MARCH 21st (damn late transcript proposal set me way back) I still put down the 50 dollar down payment on the rooming just in case enough people call it quits for me to get a room... otherwise I seem to have two options...
1)Find private housing around the area... the CON of that is the location as we may already know! I've already took some numbers down on some fliers that were regarding roommates at the campus earlier today, how easy is it to usually find a roommate on my own??
2)Commute... it's gonna be 22 miles on way, which means 44 miles total.. the CON of this is that I plan on being a full time student w/ workstudy hours logged in... this may really add up on the fatigue factor...
Anybody have any ideas how I might approach this?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. for those who are familiar w/ the housing system, what are the chances that I might just get a room at SC??
EDIT: another idea that just crossed my mind is perhaps room somewhere in a better location nearby... like UCLA and commute each day like that??
