It's been about 2 years now that I've had my amd xp 2500+ mobile and my abit nf7-s. I would like to squeeze a little bit more life out of it, even though my computer still runs great and even can run newer games such at bf2 at high paired with my x850xt which im sure is doing most of the work.

I overclocked it the day I purchased it off of newegg up to 2.2ghz (amd xp 3200+). Then I was at 2.4ghz stable, upped vcore and set multiplier to 12 at 200fsb running at 2.4ghz. Currently it runs prime stable at 2.5ghz, hitting around 50 or so full load. I can hit stable 2.6ghz also if I apply enough power. This is all while using my volcano 12 at around medium speed. I have sisoftware sandra lite and have run both of their benchmarks. When I compare it to my friends 3000+ 64bit amd skt754 I beat all of his scores but one. Im not real technical when it comes to exactly what the benchmarks are all about, but I ran the artihmetic as well as multi-media tests.

Looking to upgrade eventually to a new mobo probably with pci-e as well as probably being skt 939, how much would I gain currently with purchasing a lower end amd 64 like a 3200+venice(i think). I noticed that some of my scores were higher than my friends, but didn't know how much that mean. My amd xp is still running well so I am trying to consider the benefit of upgrading right now since I dont do as much gaming as I used to (cs:source mainly) or staying with my current setup and then upgrading when prices drop.
