Question regarding a Dell UltraSharp 2407FPW

I am looking to purchase a Dell UltraSharp 2407FPW, but before I do I am curious to know how my BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC will drive this thing running at 1900x1200. I know I won't be running most newer stuff at max settings, which is fine. I am just hoping that I will be able to get good mid range performance with most currently available games running at 1900x1200. The rest of my system includes an Athlon 3500+, K8N Neo Nforce4 Ultra, 2GB of OCZ Plat.

If anybody has any experience with a similar set up and this monitor, please let me know your thoughts!

Thanks.

I would think you'd be able to run most titles, with lower detail settings. I'm looking to purchase that panel myself, but I'm also looking to get a new video card with it.

I have a older 2405fpw and run it in a dual config with a 19" LCD off my 7900gt. I can handle most everything at 1920x1200 around the mid-level settings even with my OC. I run Oblivion at that res at atleast mid settings, maybe higher. You should be fine with that card, it will handle the monitor fine just as long as you turn the settings on some games down enough.

I ran mine for about a week on a 6800GS AGP (unlocked to 6800 Ultra pipes/clocks) on a P4 Northwood at 3.2GHz. I was able to run games like HL2, Oblivion etc with low/med settings and no AA/AF of course (although AF alone isn't much of a performance hit). You will be fine on medium settings if you don't demand 60fps all the time. Try taking Vsync off as well. I'm assuming you are holdnig off to do a full upgrade. You will be very tempted once you see how awesome the 2407 is, especially for the price.

That reminds me. I actually got the 7900gt after I got the 2405fpw. I ran mine off a 6600gt for about a week. I could run oblivion at that resolution, but at the LOWEST settings, hehehe.
