I'm about to order and build a new system. I've noticed that specifications for several motherboards include 1 e-SATA connection and have an e-SATA plug on the back i/o plate. Two of the cases in which I'm interested, the Cool Master Sileo 500 and Antec Sonata Elite, have an e-SATA plug on the front panel.

Am I limited to one e-SATA connection, unless I find a motherboard that advertises two, or can I connect the front panel to one of the (otherwise) internal SATA connections?

TIA

You should be able to connect the SATA on the front panel of your case to a regular SATA connector on your motherboard.
