I've been reading the recent thread about helping out the RC5 team.
Ok here's the question.
I downloaded the client software, why does it do both RC5 and OGR work units?
Aren't these different?

[Oct 09 22:53:22 UTC] Automatic processor detection found 1 processor.
[Oct 09 22:46:00 UTC] Connected to distributed.net 204.152.186.139:2064...
[Oct 09 22:46:00 UTC] The keyserver says: "PetPetPetPet! (cdy)"
[Oct 09 22:46:00 UTC] Retrieved RC5 work unit 24 of 24 (100.00% transferred)
[Oct 09 22:46:08 UTC] Retrieved OGR work unit 24 of 24 (100.00% transferred)

I thought I would try it out, but I don't want to be doing both if at all possible.
Someone give me some feedback please...

Hi Silverback,

I currently do both RC5 and Seti also. If you want to only do one project you have to set up the client as follows:

RC5: (in dnetc.ini file)
*make sure under misc the following line reads:

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR=0,CSC=0,DES=0

Or to only do OGR:
project-priority=OGR,RC5=0,CSC=0,DES=0

I had a similar problem. To be safe I deleted the OgR buffer files also. Then restarted the client.

Also, Dnet only updates their stats once a day :(. So if you like checking your status several times throughout the day, you can join the Team Anandtech Round Robin by putting this in you ini file under networking:

[networking]
autofindkeyserver=no
keyserver=proxy.teamanandtech.com

This will let you check your stats by going to teamanandtech.dhs.org Happy cracking to ya!
