I read the editorials in my local newspaper daily, and some of the things I see in there boggle my mind...

First instance: A few months, some AIDS awareness lady wrote about how AIDS is brutal to women and made it totally one sided... In the letter, she gave a statistic that there are x number of people in the world with AIDS, and 46% of those people are women...

Second instance: In Monday's paper, there was some article about how people get screwed on sick leave... The writer (another woman) gave the statistic that since the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1983 has been inacted, that 40% of the users have been men...

Am I missing something here??? I could see where 46% of AIDS victims could be women and that could be highest if they are factoring in children, but the second one totally boggles my mind.

If 40% of men used sick leave, where does the other 60% come in? Cyborgs? Human beings that aren't men???

I hate people that write these one sided arguments.

Rant over.
