Question/opinions about ram

While researching and preparing to build a new system, it seems there are quite a few issues with DDR2 ram modules. the current trend is of course to have 2Gb. I am wondering if there would be fewer issues, better performance using 4 512gb modules over 2 1gb. I seem to remember reading an article on this, I just can't remember where.

chuck i have never heard of the issue at which you speak, I am currently using 2 x 1 gb ram with no issues at all, As long as the board you chose and the ram you chose don't have specific issues with eachother you should be fine,
