Frankly, I am sick of Microsoft's strong-arm B.S. with XP licensing.

So, I have implemented a new philosophy and I would like to know if anyone can shed some light on the legalities of doing this.

I install Windows XP on a machine, then I apply the crack so that I don't have to register it. But, I have licenses for all the copies. Am I breaking any laws by applying the crack since I don't want to deal with registering? (Even though I own all the licenses)?

Getting a "legal" answer from Microsoft is impossible, because they will simply tell me it's illegal, even if it is not.

Anyone know for sure?

While not illegal, it's kinda a waste of time. You still don't have to register it with MS, that's still up to you. If your talking about the Product Activation, then that you have to do. It's not illegal to buypass that if you have the licenses, just more of a waste of time.
