Question on Xbox Originals

I got out of console gaming (not PC) in the early 90's. I bought a 360 2 years ago and have been loving it more than my PC now. There are quite a few games I missed out on:

GTA San Andreas
Jade Empire

I'm interest in getting them. I know my system will play used games from gamestop. Is there any advantage to getting them digitally? Have the xbox originals been improved other than maybe getting gamerscore points? How about visuals?

Thanks!

I don't think you get gamerscore points on original xbox games. Having them digitally as mentioned just means you don't have to have the disc in, which means less disc swapping and no loud disc noise. But from what I've seen they're priced quite a bit more than getting them used from the store.

I downloaded GTA San Andreas. You don't get gamerpoints for it. Honestly, it isn't nearly as fun as it used to be.

I think regardless of what many people say dated graphics can ruin what you remember of a game.

Maybe I'll hold off. I was really interested in Jade Empire because mass effect is my favorite game to date because of the story. I wanted to get into another bioware game.

Depends, consoles such as SNES and N64 I can handle, but just one generation off is close enough to compare to current gen.

Personally I think GTA:SA is a fantastic game! The sotry is intruiging, the voiceacting is top notch, the cutscenes are traditional Rockstar awesome and it's just a ton of fun to play! I would agrue, infact, that it's one of the best games of the last generation consoles.

In comparison to GTA4, I think it actually has slightly more variety in its environments. Jetpacks, Area 51, Parachuting, airplanes, helicopters, monster trucks, great music, travers 17 in-game miles without a load screen--so much fun.

Dont you seriously not want to visit Los Angeles, San fancisco, and Vegas circa 1990? 🙂
