question on windows 7 keys.

Okay I built 15 pcs for mining. When I switched to asics I sold off all the gear and left myself with 3 pcs.

1 has windows ultimate 7

1 had windows home and I upgraded it to windows pro


1 has windows pro all clean legit software purchased from amazon-newegg etc.

When I sold off all the other pcs some were sold in parts some as full machines .

I now have 5 windows pro discs so if I want to do a reinstall and I pull the key off my clean legit windows pro.


can I use any of the 5 windows pro discs with that good key? or do i need to figure out a closer match of disc to key. all 5 discs are clean purchases .

this teaches me to keep my keys and my disks better organized. any help on how to proceed. would be appreciated.

You should be able to use any disc with that key. I edited my original 7 ultimate iso so that it will install any version I have a key for and works with no issues.

okay I will do a reinstall and test it out.

I just store the keys in 1password, and when you install you only have to use one of your keys that matches de version and language of the ISO or DVD you use to install.
