Hi guys, OK I basically have a problem that i do not feel is worth smearing names, I don't really see a problem with the users really I think its the third party that has caused the problem. Anyway here it is:
I agreed to trade an iPod for 5 yrs of unlimited bandwidth 5/4 gig webspace. (I thought it was 5 he gave me 4 I honestly can not remember and did not mind at all). The iPod however was damaged when i got it in as trade (screen cracked). I let him know and did went through the process for the insurance claim. (This is confusing sorry let me clear it we talked because I had one iPod I sold this gentleman saw the thread I was working a deal that included another on a mac forum, I toild him I was getting it, thats how we started talking but we just agreed when it came in that would be cool. Nothing was exchanged he showed me the site but I told him, maybe if I find the PM's for you its easier. I told himj I did not want it till the iPod wa shis. Since it came broke insurance was filed. It took the amount of time stated below. Hope this helps sorry for making it confusing ^-^)
It took over a month + to handle it and while the gentleman made the webspace for me I did not touch it and told him I would not. The site was closed for inactivity by the webspace owner. Site Admin I guess you would say. I never even uploaded anything I do not think. But it did take around 2 months to complete the deal we kept in touch, talked I sold two laptops a few weeks back and paid him 230 or 240 I have to check paypal to be sure, basically enough to buy a used iPod. We talked and while I did not feel it was right he wanted more money I said I would see what I could do.
So I contacted the admin again and he had to recreate the site. He only gave me one gig though. He told me it was a 4 gig limit with unlimited bandwidth and it would be added as time went on. OK thats fine with me. Well the site went down and has not come back I was told I would only have 2 gigs now and that was it, also the site admin refuses to talk to me.
Now it has been almost a week beyond his deadline of when the site would be up and the site down time is around 2-3 weeks I think. I admit being bad on time and again I am not upset I just feel that it does not look like its getting any better.
Now this whole time the gentleman who I paid who providied the site to me has been asking for more money and I just do not agree with that esp. with the site not being up. Well I have been told up to 2 months now by the person I paid, the site admin does not answer me. I am just concerned as I work with a car club that I got free sponsership from and promised in turn to post there pics and help with a website rebuild and now I can not do it. I am basically out with the club because of whats going on and I have told them but they are not what i would say computer savay but they also do not like waiting. ESP when they fronted my spnsership into the club (fee's and all)
So basically I am thinking maybe I should just ask for the funds back minus 50 for the gentleman because he did wait patently for the iPod issue to be solved. And this is not directly his fault its the provider who is causing this. But I can not wait any longer and I am not sure what to do. I have not had a bad trade with this guy I just don't feel asking for more money like he is is right, and well I think saying keep 50 shows no hard feelings towards him I just want to open a new webspace so I can do what I promised the club.
What do you guys think?

On the third person deal setup and why he is invloved:
Well I was only dealing with him, this guy is just the server admin but I guess he controls the accounts so thats how he is involoved.
Trading before items were avilable did not happen this is the clarification:
No we talked about a trade, I was getting the iPod it came in broke and told him I would get the insurance from it and buy another. After it took so long he said just send me the money and I will buy one I said ok. We did not make a final deal we just talked I did not have a webserver till I paid him
We agreed originally to do the iPod but I never accepted anything nor did he because we could not do so. (It came broke)
In Regards to those confused about the iPod and trading something I did not have:
...I guess I am not making it clear, The iPod was never sold, it was talked about and that what we were going to do. I was getting it in trade and it came broken. I claimed insurance and thats a side issue. We agreed that I give him cash to buy an iPod and he give me the web space. So it was never a trade setup or sent we were talking a trade we never exchanged till after I paid the 230/240. We started talking because i had an iPod I sent to someone else and he asked if I had another. I was getting one thats how we started talking, we made a deal with cash. I just gave the whole history. I guess that is confusing some. Hope this clears it up.
