Question on Vista64 Folder Settings

I have been having this problem for a while, but I never got around to addressing it.

Anyways, I have different settings for some of my various folders. Mainly, just the icon size, if the folder is full-screen or not, and the arrangement of the icons/files. I checked into the folder settings and I have it to where it should save the settings for each individual folder, but they never do.

Nine out of ten times, my music folder will not be full-screened as it should, my application folder's icons will be re-arranged and set to either Details or Large icon size, and my game folder's icons will either be set to List or Large.

Regardless of what I set the particular folder to, the settings will reset to whatever it wants to (or so it seems). It seems completely random since the settings will sometimes stay for a few days, and sometimes they will reset the moment I close the folder.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Should have figured that Vista would have no quick or easy way to keep your folder settings as what you set them to. Thanks for the link, but I think I shall just stick with modifying my folders every now and then.

Ive been doing the same thing.
At least now i know why it seems to radomly change, with no consistancy.

Drives me nuts, cuz i like all my folders in windows explorer in Details view, and any desktop folder in tiles view since their all shortcuts out there anyway.

Gets old having to change them manually when i open them.
