Question on TurboTax:

Just have a quick question for anyone who knows TurboTax.....

We used this program to e-file my taxes for last year. The financial aid office at college informed me that they need a copy of my tax form from last year, but I don't have one since I e-filed. They said I can print a copy from TurboTax, but I don't have a printer at home. So, my question is:

Can you export a form from TurboTax as a .pdf (or some other common document type) so that you can print it out? I have a printer at work, so if there is a way I can export it then I can just print a copy there. That would be a lot easier than trying to get the IRS to send it to me.

Thanks!

You are in luck my friend. I just did this process!!!

Ok, you have to call up IRS and tell them to send you a free copy of your 1040 results. This is good enough for the fin depot in your school. Just Sign and date the bottom when you receive it. It takes 45 minutes on the phone on hold, and 1 week in the mail.

Good luck!

You can just print it to a PDF file, look up CutePDF on download.com and install that. Now, go to turbotax and print your forms as you would normally, but select the CutePrinter printer - it will prompt you for a filename - the forms will get printed into a PDF file.

If you have access to a printer and the internet at the same time, just print it out directly.
