will i get all the toll discounts for all states using iPass?

ie: I drive a few times a year between MD and NY.
There are tolls in MD, Delaware, NJ, and NY.

I currently have a NY EZ-Pass because money saved from the Verazono bridge is greater than all the savings from any other state in my list.

It's been many years since I drove that area, so I can't verify. I lived in IL, kept the IPass during all my years in MA always used the ipass. All the tolls treated it the same as a EZPass from my memory, but I can't be 100% as it's been many years since I love in that area.

Edit: Looks like a no as it wouldnt be a NY EZPass. However, the NY EZPass is what $1 a month so only you can judge if that's worth it.1655208427455.png

At this point the only switch I would consider making would be to pick up a NY EZ Pass.

Thing is the only times I use it in NY is when I go to Mets games and have to use the Whitestone or RFK (Triboro) bridge so a hand-full of times per year. For me it's not worth the trouble.

I'll never complain about EZ-Pass again.... the account/transponder I have currently is Mass-based but is usable in any state that supports it for tolls and many parking-areas. (although in NYC for example you lose out on any discounts unless you use a "NY" TBA transponder.
Because I used to live in NY, I have both a NY and MA transponder. When I have to go down to NY by car, I swap the transponders in CT so I can get those NY bridge discounts.

I’ll complain about it for you
My First complaint. Late 90s I worked in a large office and EZ PASS came by to essentially give out free pucks so I took one and then never activated it. I have tried and tried to get a new puck but all attempts fail because I need to activate my first puck from 1990
Second complaint “Nobody knows noth’in” when it comes to problems or support see above
Third complaint, WHY THE FUCK do I need to puck/transmitter WHEN IN MA THEY USE THE FUCKING CAMERAS TO READ THE PLATE??????
Fourth complaint the bill pay website is a fucking disaster. Why can’t I set a credit or debit card to simple auto pay these bills?

NY EZ Pass customer service is a joke.... when I was dispatching my drivers used to dread having to physically go to the office in Queens and the website IS really crappy too.

You CAN do all those things on the Mass EZ Pass website though ... also the minimum balance is only $20. All it really does for you is allow you to pre-pay your tolls and avoid unreliable IME paper-billing.(and the resulting late-fees!)

Btw NY AND NJ will both read your license-plate and bill you just like Mass does if you don't have a transponder.

We’ve had it since the late 2000’s as my folks lived in Syracuse and the NYS thruway is a rape job. Mass Pike to NYS thruway-$1.25 NYS Thruway to parents exit - $8.25! Changed over to the option of keeping a debit card on file when they made it available. It’s worked anywhere & everywhere we’ve traveled since.

Their website is ASS though. 🤣🤣

How do you prevent the toll plaza from charging both transponders?
