I don't see definite info anywhere, so maybe somebody knows:

Do these have the mobile version of the Athlon 64 or is it the desktop variant?

Do they have essential ventilation on the bottom, will they cook up if you have them on a cloth sheet?

How is the screen and the keyboard?

Anybody has one and like to share opinions? Andbody likes to trade for a Thinkpad?

HP Specs for zv5410

Microprocessor
1.8GHz AMD? Athlon? 64 Processor 3000+ with PowerNow!?

Microprocessor Cache
1MB L2 Cache

AMD Specs for Mobile A64's

3000+ 2.0 GHz 512 KB

AMD Specs for DTR A64's

3000+ 1.8 GHz 1 MB

From this information, it appears those models use the DTR version which has a TDP of 81.5W.

These are still excellent notebooks for the money, very powerful. Ventilation I cannot comment specifically on, but I would expect it to get quite toasty sitting under your legs. The screen's are average, displaying the same relatively small viewing angle that most HP screens suffer from. Brightness and clarity are on par with competitors. Keyboard is also about average, but HP uses a standard laptop layout; nothing funky like Toshiba. Also, HP uses an excellent scroll bar on the touch pad and a button to disable the touchpad altogether.

Andbody likes to trade for a Thinkpad?
 Dunno anyone who would give up a Thinkpad for any other brand.... :p

Hope this helps!
