Question on the movie Sniper

Towards the end when Beckett is being interrogated, he says "1 shot 2 kills" to the other sniper
when he comes to rescue him. Who the hell is the 2nd kill? Becket does not die...

I am confused.

I haven't seen the movie in quite a while, but I think Beckett was saying "1 shot, 2 kills" as in, "kill me and this jack arse who's interrogating me"

Of course, I could be wrong.

thats what I thought too. And I watched the scene again.
I see beckett's head move when the interrogator is shot.
But I cannot confirm if beckett was actually shot.
He did not get killed though... so that leads me to believe that he did not get shot..

That's why it is so confusing

Yeah I remember..

Beckett was talking about himself as the second kill.
He didn't want the other sniper getting caught by trying to rescue him.

He figured better off dead.

At least that's how I remember it.

I remember that. Apparently, Becket wanted to put together some kind of tour business for fishing once he ended his tour in the Marines. Much to his disdain, it was revealed to him that the area of land he was talking about had been developed. At that point, since he was such a loner, had no finger to pull the trigger of his rifle, he more or less had nothing to live for. He wanted to wuss SWAT sniper guy to basically take him out as well his captor.

so the sniper missed beckett on purpose or by accident?

I don't think he wanted to kill Becket. He just wanted to kill the bad d00d, going against the request of Becket.
