Question on the Linksys Router

Before I make the purchase, I need to know whether I can play online games with all the ports. something about DMZ (de-militarized zone?). I heard that only 1 port can do this. is it true?

i just want to know if i can play counter-strike with all 3-4 of my computers online, at the same time, thru my cable connection shared with the linksys router.
 
You are correct BEFSR41 4-Port Cable/DSL Router only support one IP being in the DMZ at a time. There is a special Linksys forum at DSL Reports, you will be able to find out more about any problems with specific games there.
 
Our lan group uses a win2k server running NAT (network adress translation) ips one to many...

win2k server lets us all game at from one IP...
 
tippman, you say ur win2k server?
are you saying that you are using a computer running win2k as a proxy server or software NAT?

mylam, are you saying that it's possible? i do not plan to host games under the linksys router. just plan to join internet online games with multiple ports simultaneously.
