Saw the drive on onvia with a LP ie. 45GB Deskstar 7200rpm EIDE Ultra ATA/100 LP 75GXP . What does the LP stand for? Is onvia the cheapest? Should've got this sucker last week when it was still going for $139.99 ........bummer!

I have no idea what LP stands for, but I do have a 75GXP - 15GB. A real nice drive, quiet and fast; running on an integrated Highpoint controller at ATA-100. Before you buy, consider that IBM will honor the warranty only if bought from an authorized retail reseller. If you buy OEM, the warranty will only be as good as the dealer provides. I believe that you can find the list of authorized resellers at the IBM site. As I recall, Outpost is authorized and sells them at a fair price when you consider that there is no shipping charge and overnight delivery.

Someone asked this question on Onvia Monday. I haven't seen a response yet.
