Recently sold a CPU 3.06 PIV 533 CPU with HT.
He just got back to me like 28 days later telling me that it starts to freeze on him asking me if I overclocked it.
It was pulled from my Dell system so it was never overclocked.
Can a faulty CPU cause it to freeze up. If it's faulty wouldn't it not boot up at all ?
Maybe it's not receiving sufficient cooling ?

300 Watt P4 Power Supply.
The Vid card is a GeForce4 4200Ti
Crucial memory, 2 sticks 2.5 CL 333 PC2700
