don't have that drive myself but there are usually 3 jumper settings,master,slave, cable select. just jumper for master & put it on the ide channel! or are you saying that there are no distinctive markings for jumpers on the drive?
no markings on the drive at all, but I just realized that I plugged my HDD with the ATA100 cord, and the cd-rom is on primary IDE, so is that how it's supposed to be, and the ide doesn't detect the hdd?
There aren't markings on the drive. I have a Creative Blaster 52x and the drive besides the label is bare. The jumpers are as follows...
[Cable Select][Slave][Master]
They should be in this order when you face the back of the drive to you. Default it should be on the farthest to the right, or the "master" setting...
