Does the client run only in screensaver mode, or does it run all the time?

Which client should I use?

Does it work through ICS or do I need some sort of pproxy?

Do I need a pproxy regardless due to seti's servers going down sometimes?

How do I set up said pproxy if I need one?

What times should I expect from a t-bird 1.0 ghz at 133fsb and ram is 512meg at 133 cas 2?

the GUI client can run all the time. set it to run all the time and then minimize it so that graphics aren't drawn to get the fastest times. the client most of us prefer to work with, however, is the command line client. its a bit faster, and that adds up over a month. the client, whatever version, should work through ICS seamlessly, i was running that way before getting a router. you can use the team pproxy at orangekid.teamanandtech.com (i think). to cache units locally i suggest using setidriver, unless you plan on using lots of computers in which case learning setiq would be best. GHz tbird should get around 6 hours, maybe a little slower.

On a 1Gig T-bird, you should get ~6-7 hrs/WU if you run the CLI.

you need to enter the IP address & port No in the command line (shortcut for the CLi exe).

Here's my own CLi command line for connecting to my SETIQ as an example

"C:\Program Files\SETI CLI\setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe" -verbose -proxy 192.168.0.5:5512

The verbose command allows the client to display work in progress
