Question on RFU adapters

I'm going to New York, and I wanted to bring the PS2, but the only TV there doesn't have Red/White/Yellow plugs. I found an RFU adapter for the original PS1, but I don't know if it'll work for the PS2. Hell, i don't even know how these things work! any ideas?

I believe it should work fine. Many places sell universal RFU adapters which have various plugs to fit PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC, etc.
