What's the best way to record TV shows nowadays? DVD recorder? Aren't there some machines that have a hard drive inside for storage?

A DVD recorder sounds cool, but I'm really not interested in having the programs stored long-term. Maybe just record and watch it once and that's it.

I've been working a lot lately and need to record all the shows I've been missing. 🙂
