Question on Radeon DVD support

Hi,

My Radeon 64 is broken so i am in the middle of exchanging it. Does anybody have there Radeon hooked up to there TV when playing DVD's? How is the picture quality of the Radeon vs a Hollywood Plus card?

I use to have a 3DProphet and found the picture not as bright and clear wile playing a DVD with Power DVD and WinDVD compared to the Hollywood card and i am interested on what the Radeon looks like! Just in case i might want to pick up the Hollywood card.

Thanks.

I have the Rage 128 PRO and its stunning. ATI's DVD support has always been mile above the rest. Since it all hardware decoding. Some people say its better than the hollywood plus card and I tend to agree with them.

The Radeon chip has a few more options than my 128PRO for DVD decoding, personally I havent seen it, but this being my second ATI card and that the improvement was drastic I think you should very much like the Radeon's DVD support.

As for output to a TV, you are limited to a TV"s maximum resolution, which in most cases is like 800.600 and can reach 1024.768.
