Hey guys,
As u can tell im new to this forum thing. I've recently taken a look at Pricewatch.com and discovered their prices to be really astounishing. Are those prices real? I mean has anyone every been conned by going through PriceWatch? And another thing, if it is legitimate, are stuff they sell new? Or are they all refurbished or used? If someone, anyone could help answer these questions, i would really like to start building a new comp with parts from the site. Thanx all

Jeff

Thoes prices are very real.
Of course you have to use your common sense when buying.
Blind trust gets you screwed.
But thoes prices are actually submitted by the reselles just for pricewatch.
Most items are new but OEM. And if you keep going in the listing you will see items listed "retail".
That is brand spakin new in the box.
Good site to compare prices with.

Check out vendors on there with Reseller Ratings before making purchases and you should be ok. Also check the shipping, some quote great prices but rob you on shipping charges.

Yup. It's not damaged or anything, it just shows the cheapest prices of components from the many many resellers. Make sure to check out ResellerRatings like Daniel said because some of these real cheap places have a bad rating from support or the prices might be cheap because they fvck you on shipping. :)

pricewatch has done a lot for shoppers to ensure they prices are correct.

A year ago you could call up a online place and tell them the price and they'd say "oh well we have to change that the price has gone up since then"

yeah right.

<< dont forget the crazy shipping charges most of the folks have!! >>

Yeah, but PriceWatch has made great strides in correcting some of these issues. At least the shipping on memory is only as high as $10 or $11 and not $20 - $23 like it was several months back.

Like making a purchase anywhere else, use some common sense and ensure that you are aware of all the details before proceeding with your purchase.

Happy shopping!

It is a great price comparison resource. Besides, it can save you from getting reamed in the hot deals forum for posting a cool deal with the title "HOT HOT SMOKING BURNING SIZZLING"....:D
