Would the Antec Truepower II 550w be sufficient to power the Nvidia 8800 series? It has 2 12v rails rated at 19A each.

I read that the 8800 need about 26amp on the 12V rail. Is that combined for the 2 rails or just one?

Thanks a lot!

It should be enough. Although you don't add up two rails to get a total.

It's fine. Two rails don't give a total from what people said, but it gives you an idea of the area you will be in. From experience, as long as it's 26-ish and you have high amp dual rail PSU you should be fine.

You will probably be fine. Might as well try it with the 550W and if it is inadequate, order a better PSU.

It will work fine. I am using one with a 8800GTX, an OC'd E6600 @ 3.5 w/1.4vcore, 3 HDs and 1 optical. No issues whatsoever.

Not going to lie - I had a TP II 550W fail on me with the rig in my sig. However, this was in a dormroom environment, where my ambient temp was pretty high. I've heard that the Fuhijyu (sp?) caps don't like heat, and this seems like a testament to that. The PSU did handle my rig fine until the days started to get hotter though, so if you live in an air conditioned environment you should be fine :)
