Question on positioning my hard drive

I plan to install 4 hard drive (2 SATA and 2 ATA133) inside the case. Two questions:

(1) The hard drive tray can holds 3 hard drives one over another. However if all 3 positions are taken, the hard drives will be very close, I am concerning heat will not be removed efficiently. Do you think this close arrange will bring heat accumulation problem? If yes, I will leave the middle position empty.

(2) There is another (movable) hard drive tray inside the case. The problem is its screw hole are near the speaker so that the hard drive will just on the top of the speaker. I am concerning the hard drive will be too close to the speaker. Do you think the magnetic ring on the speaker will interfere the hard drive?

This is the first time to do DIY, so need to be very careful. Thanks.

(1) That shouldn't be a problem. Hard drives dissipate most of their heat to the adjacent metal drive cage, and some decent cooling can take care of the rest of the heat from the drive cage. (from my experience).

(2) A puny speaker will not do any harm to a hard drive. Even if you put a powerful bar magnet beside the drive it also won't have any damaging effect since the drive itself is magnetically shielded against external magnetic fields.

I like to have a minimum of 1/2" space between drive surfaces. And I always have a fan blowing air across the drives - having the drives stacked to gether like sardines renders the fan pretty much useless. If that means not using a drive bay or more, so be it.
. Even though the tiny computer speaker's magnet is unlikely to affect a hard drive, I always move mine if they are too close to drives. I use that foam mounting tape - put a square of it on the back of the speaker magnet and stick it somewhere out of the way...
