Question on order cancellation...

I ordered a sound card from mwave today. 5-10 minutes later NFS4 said he picked it up at CompUSA for less than I paid before shipping, $14 less after shipping, plus no wait. So, I called them & cancelled the order by e-mail like they told me to. There's a CompUSA ~10 minutes from here, I can go there after work.

Problem is the order doesn't show cancelled on their web site & my credit card has been charged.



Now what do I do? Wait for it & figure I'm a dumbass? Refuse the package?

If it's shipped out and you refuse it usually wait 1-2 weeks for credit back on the card but you lost the shipping charge I believe.BTW which sound card.

OK, I broke down & called them & they said the reversal process could take up until tomorrow. So it's not all bad, I just wish their order status page would update more often.

It's the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, BTW. Apparently CompUSA has some sort of $99 after rebate deal for the Santa Cruz + an Altec Lansing 4 speaker + sub setup. Figured it'd be a big improvement for me.

They only update their order status page once a day. Usually it's done in the morning around 9 or 10. Orders placed show up immediately though.

If you're paranoid about CrapUSA running out, you can always pick it up but don't open it. Return it if the Mwave one comes in.
