Question on Nvidia Surround

Am I correct that Nvidia is not able to drive 3 monitors even with the cards that have 2 dvi, a mini hdmi, and a display port?

You are correct houe. Unless specifically designed to do so by board partners (ASUS, EVGA, MSI, etc.) the only production single card that can run 3 monitors is a GTX590. Other than that, you'll need to run two card SLI to run Surround. For example, 2x GTX560Ti or 2x GTX570.
