question on non-mobile XP 2500+

I want to put together a cheap system, and I'm looking at the following core
components based on the recent AnandTech buyers guide:

Athalon XP Barton 2500+ 333MHz FSB (retail), $80
Abit NF7-S, $86
1 stick OCZ PC3200 Enhanced Latency Series 512MB, $130
64MB Sapphire Radeon 9200SE, $44

What do you think the chance is that I can run the 2500+ at 400MHz FSB? The
NF7-S will let me change the PCI divisor ratio to do this, correct? I know I could
get a mobile Barton and have the flexibility of changing the CPU multiplier, but
the non-mobile version is cheaper. I've only got a $500 budget for the whole
system, so price is very important.

As you know, overclocking usually depends on the stepping of the chip and your setup. So as long as you get a good stepping I think you'll be able to hit xp 3200 speed. But you might have to increase the vcore a little. Another thing make sure you get a good PSU like an Antec True power series, and a decent heatsink/fan combo.

Just like you I recently aquired a 2500xp barton, and was able to hit xp 3200 speeds after I bumped up the vcore up to 1.7v.
