Question on new motherboard

Sorry for such a beginners question, but I have a question. I want to change my motherboard, to one of the newer ones. I was wondering if I have to reinstall windows, if I keep the same hard drive on the new mobo?

If it was on OS drive you could have some trouble. XP might take the change in stride, I am not sure. If it was just a "data" drive you could just plug it right in. Only problem I can see you having is with drivers issues and such. Like I said XP might take it in stride though. I'd back up the stuff on the HDD and give it a try, if it doesn't work just wipe it
