Question on my Gigabytes Ds3.

I am about to put a new sata2 hard drive on my computer as the main os drive but I got some question. I am download some driver ahead of time and find something wierd. This is going to be my only sata device, which slot should I put my hdd in? The orange or purple sata slot? Another thing, is there anyway way for me to tell which version of the mb I got? 1.0, 2.0 or 3.3?

put it in the orange sata slots, but either should be fine. i think CPU-Z tells u which version you have under Mainboard: Rev.
