Question on Multiple Sound Cards...

I don't know if this is a stupid question. But...

I'm wondering if it is possible to run inputs from multiple sound cards at the same time. Anyone done this before? Basically, I want to inpt from several different external sources. But, my sound card has only two inputs. So, if I want more, can I just add another sound card?

Can't see any reason why not, I do know of some people running a seperate music card. You may have a few conflicts though.
