Question on moniter/res/picture quality.

Okay lets say you have a 17" moniter at 800x600 resolution, and a 15" moniter with the same resolution. Which is true when it comes to picture quality? Lets assume everything else is exactly the same.

I'd naturally assume 17" has better quality, but what's the explanation behind it?

assuming identical guns and tube. ie it's a gs trinitron series. The 15 will look more crisp than the 17 at the same resolution because more "dots" are being displayed per square inch.

But that defeats the reason for buying a 17' which is to run at 1024x768 which is too damn small on the 15" .
