Hello,

I don't recall ever having a pcie-pwr connector on my motherboard. Is that for the new PCIe cards that get power direct from the motheboard without additional powe connectors? If so, if I'm only using older cards do I need to plug it in? I didn't see a lot of information in the manual about it

Usually it's to provide additional power for the slots in case you have multiple high draw cards. It does not replace the power that needs to be plugged directly into them.

Its also usually optional - if all you've got is one graphics card and no other pcie cards, you probably dont need it.
