Question on LCD, is this normal ?

I notice dark shadow on my notebook LCD screen...it's shape like a snake...i can see the shadow curve from the top of the LCD to the bottom of the LCD...is that what you call dead pixel ? is it normal ? because the notebook is brand new...i notice the shadow when the background is light in color...it's not really obvious (yet)...but just want to find out if it's normal...pls help

No, that is not normal - it is not a "dead pixel." It is an aberration in your backlight. Take it back and get it fixed while it is still under warranty.

thanks for the info...i hope they can fix this...coz i've had it for only 1 day
what's aberration anyway...they function to light up the LCD ?
