The other night my kid's mom had to pick her daughter up from the airport. I went to bed early and woke up to a missed call from my stepdaughter looking for her mom. I asked the next day why she called and she gave me the reason. Her phone automatically found her daughters flight and put it into airplane mode which she didn't realise until after her daughter arrived.

Without getting into other specifics on the situation my question is this...will an iPhone put itself into airplane mode automatically? I think that it wont.
