Hello !
I currently have 512 MB of PC2700 ram from Samsung (is it normal that SiSoft tells me its Xerox type of ram ?) and I would like to upgrade to MINIMUM 1 GB of ram because I need it somehow for my work.

I was thinking of adding an other samsung type of ram (512 MB) or even two of them but then I would like to know if there will be stability issues or not with all mem banks full.

What do you think ?
1) Is my ram really Samsung or is it Xeros ?!
2) If its not really Samsung, does it matter if I add an other brand ?
3) How about having all memory banks full ? Is it risky ?

Thanks a lot ! ;)

1 and 2) Brand doesn't matter.

3) If you are overclocking it will hurt you, if not, don't worry about it.

This means I "could" even have all three banks full and working perfectly stable if I don't overclock ?

I believe with the GA-7VRX and VRXP, all three slots could be used, but relaxed memory timings and DDR266 mode (not DDR333) should be used.

Thanks !
I'll try with two sticks first to see how it goes. One thing is sure, I want to keep my 333 memory access.
