Question on HD 4650

I read on Newegg's forums that this video card requires a chip with SSE2 instruction set, which an Athlon XP is missing. Has anyone else heard of this problem or found a work-around?

According to Newegg forums it looks like people with Athlon XP processors were running the HD3650 no problem. For another 15 dollars I would love to get the more powerful card, but it looks like it may be a problem.

So does anyone know the answer?

I have run AGP 3650 and AGP x1950 Pro on a Socket A system but didn't try the 4650. I would like to know the answer too.
