Question on Flat Screen CRT's

FD Trinitron = beautiful

However I've been using a Dell 1900FP LCD for the past year, best decision ever.

About the most graphic intensive game I would play is The Simpsons, Sims, something like that.

So nope.

The reason I asked is because all the CRT's I've played w/ tend to "tear" in FPS's 🙁

So if I have a CRT & LCD hooked up to the same rig, and vsync is turned on, I won't see any "tearing?" 😕 & 😱

Sometimes the geometry is hard to work out on flat CRTs. But once that is done, the picture is better than a regular CRT monitor. I haven't liked and still don't like the envision 775e that i bought a while ago; returned it b/c the image was poor. Right now am using a samsung 700nf.

I used a Samsung 955DF for a while, that was an excellent monitor. Right now I have a Hitachi CM721F, it's also got great quality picture. They're both way better than the CTX I was using before. It's not that much to get a flat CRT over a curved, so I wouldn't hesitate to spend the extra money. Every time I used a regular CRT now I notice the distortion.

don't ask us, just go to a computer shop or kinkos and see a beautiful sony trinitron with your own eyes. then you'll know

Flat lcd main advantages are space saving and almost no radiation. I have the latest Dell 19" and 21 " lcd and must admit that the color of these two are terrible when compared with the my Samsung and sony 21" CRT.

The biggest difference between a curved screen and flat screen(from my experience) is the difference in how much light gets reflected from other sources.
