question on fan connectors

I installed a case fan, but the wire with 3-pin connector won't reach the connector on the motherboard marked 'sys fan', so I moved the Power supply connector, also 3-pin, to that connector, and connected the case fan to the connector marked Power supply fan on the MB. All the fans seem to be running. Did I do a bad thing? The temp seem to be around what they were before doing this. (49-51c at idle XP1900+ not overclocked).

No worries!

The fans will spin fine, your temps will be ok. The marking on the board just indicate what fan will show up at what speed in the BIOS.

Thanks.. are these temps ok? I ran a heat-up program, and after 10 minutes it got up to 59c. normally running at 49-51c.
