Question on Dvd Rom drives....

Real easy question for someone....
Can dvd rom drives play cd's(audio,games,etc.) as well? The reason I ask is that I am looking to add another drive to my computer, I only have a cdrw drive and am looking to copy disk to disk w/o the hassle of going to the hard drive first. If I can combine dvd too, well that's great. Thanks in advance.

Yup, they sure do. Many people only have a DVD and CDRW now since just a regular CD-ROM is kinda pointless and just takes up an IDE channel.
