Ok currently there are 2 pc's running win98se on this network. Everything is fine both computers can access the web. The only problem i am having is that one of the 2 computers cannot see the other computer from the network neighborhood while the other has no problem... any ideas on what is going on?

Be sure they are in the same workgroup. Also try to find the computer (Start, Find, Computer)sometimes that will show other PC's on the local network when the browse list isn't.

Yes we do have the same workgroup (innovations). My coworkers computer can see me; he can send/retrieve files to and from me. However my computer cannot.. I have also done a search Start/find/computers and have come up with my co workers computer name but cannot browse his files... pretty weird.. and i am so confused as to what i should do..

Just a question from a networking newbie. Won't both computers have to have shares active? Ie. Could your problem be due to only you allowing shares? Perhaps it's inactive on his side. Just wondering.

Make sure IPX/SPX or NetBeui... whichever you are using for your LAN is set as the primary protocol. That'll solve the problem... ummm... hopefully.
