Just wondering what needs to be done to oc this pup. I have a gigabyte board and ocz 3200 ram. I wanna know what is the stock multiplier set to and also is changing the fsb speed to 200 instead of 166 the only thing I need to do?

If you said which Gigabyte mobo you had it might be helpful. Since the 2500+ is 11 X 166, your multi must be higher (youv'e got a 2700+). So you shouldn't need the FSB all the way to 200 to be at 3200+ speeds. Or, if you do get to FSB 200, you'll be running faster than a 3200+.

OK, I found this Link to AMD CPU Identifyer Says your running at 2167mhz. So that means a multi of 13 if FSB is 166

If you reached FSB @ 200 you'd be running at 2600mhz. That's pretty high. You need a FSB of 170 to reach 2200mhz (the 3200+ speeds).

EDIT: Sorry, got carried away with the math thingy. To answer your question: Assuming your chip is fairly new with a locked multi, your only way to OC is by raising the FSB. Raise FSB in small increments (my first adjustment is 5, then I go to 3) till it's not stable (use Prime 95 to test). Then up the vcore (voltage to cpu) by a notch till it is and continue on.

Does your mobo have a PCI & AGP lock?

isn't lowering the multiplier an option too? He could lower the multiplier while raising the FSB since the higher FSB yields higher performance anyway.

2700+ is probably multiplier locked.

you can try going to 200fsb but most likely will require at least 1.75V my guess 1.8V if it does it as long as you have good cooling and temps stay under 50c I don't see a problem. should be about AXP 3400 speeds if such a chip exsisted.
