Question on Dell 2405

I just got mine and was wondering if there's a way to have it display regular dimensions when playing games like warcraft 3.

Right now it stretchs the game and makes it look wierd, lol.

It scales pretty well..

Depending on the game, you may have to set the resolution manually if you want WS support..

I thought WoW supported WS? No?

Hes asking about WC3 not WoW.

Ive had my 2405 for awhile but since I only play newer games that support the widescreen mode I havent checked into any other modes.

Got to love WoW at 1920x1200

check out here for ways to force 1920x1200 on almost any game. Also there should be an option in either your drivers and the monitor using the OSD can force it to not stretch if you don't feel like changing a few files.

Also, you can set your display driver's scaling mode for lower resolutions. One mode (normally in use) lets the monitor's logic scale, the other mode sends a readily scaled image to the monitor, the third mode does not use scaling at all and centers lower resolutions onto larger displays. For the unscaled mode to work, you must also disable scaling from the monitor's menus.

this non-scaling ability of this monitor is what puts it in my 'Holy Crap I Must Own This Monitor' class for me.
I'm all for forcing games to play WS when they aren't made to, (hello, FarCry)
but, if I fail, I don't want to look at warped images as reminder of my failure.

GL,
I've read about WC3 getting modded to work WS, though.

Non-scaled mode is fairly essential in widescreen TFTs, and only a little less important in 5:4 ones (1280x1024). Are there any widescreen ones that DON'T have it?
